True Patriots Enlightenment and Empowerment Organization exists to promote integrity, civic awareness and patriotic values that encourage good governance, peaceful coexistence and sustainable development across the African continent.
About True Patriots
True Patriots Enlightenment and Empowerment Organization (TPEE) is a non-governmental, non-profit and strongly non-partisan organization devoted to the rebirth of Africa through enlightenment, integrity, civic responsibility and values-driven leadership.
Our History
In January 2018, former United States President Donald Trump was reported to have referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as “shithole countries.” In 2019, similar remarks were attributed to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
These comments exposed uncomfortable truths and sparked deep reflection on governance, corruption, leadership failures and the absence of true patriotism across Africa.
Rather than demanding apologies, the founder believed Africa needed introspection, character reformation and a renewed commitment to integrity and civic responsibility.
On the 1st of April 2021, this conviction gave birth to the True Patriots Enlightenment and Empowerment Organization.
Our Mission
True Patriots is a non-governmental, non-religious, non-tribal, non-regional, gender-neutral and color-blind organization devoted to the rebirth of Africa and the entrenchment of true patriotism.
We pursue this mission through enlightenment, orientation and civic engagement centered on ideal civic behaviour, civic rights and responsibilities, honesty, integrity, selflessness and peaceful coexistence.
Our outreach includes public lectures, seminars, conventions, symposia, annual award dinners, media appearances and digital engagement across Africa and the diaspora.
Our Vision
We envision an Africa governed by leaders of integrity, accountability, honesty and genuine love for their people.
Our vision includes collaboration with governments at all levels, professional bodies, security agencies, religious institutions, trade unions and international organizations.
Our teachings are persuasive rather than confrontational, aimed at rejuvenating the African mind through education and example.

Accountability is a core teaching of the organization and forms the foundation of our credibility.
Our Position on Politics
True Patriots is a strictly non-partisan organization. While members are free to participate in politics individually, the organization does not endorse political parties or candidates and forbids the use of its name for political negotiations or campaigns.

Integrity, Honesty and True Patriotism
Character is the true reflection of who we are. It defines our nature, temperament and moral compass.
True patriotism goes beyond slogans or symbols. It is the willingness of citizens and leaders to place the interest of the nation above ethnicity, religion, greed and personal ambition.
